LG plans to launch 10 smartphones before year’s end and the Optimus series of smart devices will feature the NVIDIA’s dual-core Tegra 2 processors. LG is ranked 3rd in the handset market and has a miniscule share in the smartphone market which it wants to change. Both LG and NVIDIA have ventured late into the android market and one of the motives for the tie up between these two late entrants could be to catch up with the market leaders like HTC, Motorola, Samsung, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments. The company is aiming to cross the five million units’ sale of their smartphones with the Android boost.
